How do I transfer my contacts, photos, or calendar?
Open Smart Switch: Copy Data on both devices and choose whether you're the sender or receiver. On the sender, tap the data types you'd like to transfer (Contacts, Photos, Videos, or Calendar Events), then select your transfer method — WiFi or Link. On WiFi, the app will discover the receiver automatically. Follow the on-screen pairing steps and your data will move directly from one device to the other.
Do both devices need to be on the same WiFi network?
For WiFi Transfer, yes — both devices must be connected to the same local WiFi network. The app uses Bonjour/mDNS to discover devices automatically, so no manual IP entry is needed.

If the devices are not on the same network, use Link Transfer instead. This generates a shareable link or QR code that allows the transfer to proceed via a temporary cloud relay without needing shared WiFi.
What is the 2 GB free transfer limit?
Free users can transfer up to 2 GB of data in total. This quota is tracked securely on your device. Once the limit is reached, you'll need to upgrade to Smart Switch: Copy Data Pro to continue transferring. Your quota persists even if you delete and reinstall the app.

Pro subscribers have unlimited transfers with no quota restrictions.
How do I upgrade to Smart Switch: Copy Data Pro?
Open the app and tap the Go Pro button in the Settings tab. Choose your preferred plan — Weekly ($4.99/week), Monthly ($17.99/month), or Lifetime ($70 one-time). All plans include a 3-day free trial for the weekly and monthly options. Your purchase is processed securely through Apple's App Store.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us directly. To cancel:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
2. Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
3. Find Smart Switch: Copy Data and tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.
My devices can't find each other — what do I do?
Try the following steps:

• Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network (not one on WiFi and one on cellular)
• Check that you've granted the app Local Network permission in iOS Settings → Smart Switch: Copy Data
• Disable and re-enable WiFi on both devices
• Restart the app on both devices and try again
• If your router has "Client Isolation" or "AP Isolation" enabled, device discovery will not work — contact your router's administrator or use Link Transfer as an alternative
Is my data safe during a transfer?
Yes. WiFi transfers are peer-to-peer — your data travels directly between devices on your local network and never passes through Gaming Geek Studio's servers. Link transfers use a temporary relay to connect devices across networks; data is not stored after the session ends.

The 4-digit OTP pairing code ensures only the intended device receives your data.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
WiFi Transfer works entirely on your local network — no internet connection is required. Both devices just need to be connected to the same WiFi router.

Link Transfer requires an active internet connection on at least one device to establish the relay session.
Can I transfer data from iPhone to Android?
An Android companion app is currently in development as part of our roadmap. At this time, Smart Switch: Copy Data supports iPhone-to-iPhone and iPhone-to-iPad transfers.

How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Smart Switch: Copy Data purchase, and submit a refund request. Apple typically processes requests within a few business days.

We are unable to issue refunds directly, as we do not handle payments.
